Top Things Your Master Interior Painter Might Bring to Complete the Job

Posted on

If you're having some or all of the rooms inside your home painted, you might have decided that you want to hire a master painter to help with the job. After all, you probably want to make sure the job is done right. A master interior painter will probably bring some or all of the things listed below along with them when they visit your home. Then, they should be properly prepared to perform the painting that needs to be done.

Additional Workers

A master painter is someone who is very skilled and experienced at their craft, and they should be in charge of the project when you hire them for interior painting. However, there's a good chance they will bring along other painters or apprentices to help them get the job done.

Painter's Tape

Painter's tape is used around trim, ceilings, and floors. This allows the painter to completely cover your walls with paint, all without getting paint on surfaces where it doesn't need to go.

Painting Cloths

Drop cloths or sheets of plastic will probably be brought and put on your flooring to help protect it while painting is being done. It might be draped over furniture or other items in the room that is being painted too.

Primer and Paint

Naturally, your master painter will bring along primer and paint when they are ready to get to work. The primer is applied and allowed to dry first; this helps provide a nice surface for the paint to stick to, and it helps prevent existing paint from "bleeding through" and impacting the look of your newly painted walls. You should probably work with your master painter before they come out to actually start painting so that you can choose the paint type and colour that you want. The painter should be able to estimate how much paint will be needed for the project and should bring along enough to finish the project.

Rollers, Brushes, and Sprayers

Of course, the painter will need the right equipment and supplies so they can apply paint to your walls. They might bring along a combination of paint sprayers, rollers, and paintbrushes of different sizes and types. Sprayers and rollers might be used for applying paint over large areas, while paintbrushes will be used for touch-up work, small spaces, and trim.

Ladders and Scaffolds

When painting, your interior painter might have to reach higher areas. They might bring along ladders and scaffolds that can be set up indoors and that can allow them to safely and effectively reach these areas.
